About Us

Philippine Solar Rooftops is a renewable energy company that provides high level and professional service to commercial and industrial customers including residential. It is a one stop shop that presents the right information and offer complete solutions to each unique need of the customer so that they can decide better and truly benefit from renewable energy.

It was established by Melvin Consunji Nubla, person behind CleanTech Solar Rooftops and a seasoned marketing, business and corporate professional, and Antonio P. Escaño who has been involved in the financial sector since the late 80s and remittance. He has now ventured into solar energy since 2013. The two decided to continue its vision of providing professional and customer centric services to corporate accounts and homeowners. July 2023 however, Mr. Nubla left the company and sold his shares to Mr. Tony Escano.

The company prides itself from having standards and guidelines from designing, installation, pre-commissioning, and monitoring. This ensures that all works are done correctly by any of the team, anytime and anywhere. More so, it utilizes Tier 1 panels and other top of the line components to ensure the facility performs at its optimum and last for a life time.

Lastly, Philippine Solar Rooftops has an incident management system that ensures high quality and after sales service. This includes an escalation process, which assures that customer’s concerns are monitored and resolved immediately. All of this is done through an inimitable monitoring and operations system that tracks and monitors accounts.

FAQs

Sunlight has photons which is either absorbed or bounces off the solar modules that are made out of semiconductors. Those absorbed by the PV cells are converted into energy, which then escapes the atom of the cell and becomes part of the direct current (DC) in a circuit. The current is then converted to alternating current (AC) via an electrical equipment called the inverter, which supplies the electricity.

Well designed systems can last more than 20 years. Philippine Solar Rooftops also has technology and tier 1 equipment partners to ensure long term life span of the system. In 2003, BP Solar published the results of their analysis of warranty claims and reported that of more than two million modules in service over nearly ten years, approximately one-tenth of one percent were reported faulty or .01%.

Yes. It can be designed to supply any electrical requirement.

This will depend on the electrical load that you will consume and the type of system you would want to have.

The common type is a grid-tie system which means that aside from the solar power, electricity is also supplied by the local utility company. The utility company serves as your back-up power supply in cases when the solar power system is not producing enough electricity. Another is an off-grid system which entails getting all your electricity requirement from the solar power system. This requires a battery and a bigger PV system which enables it to charge the battery at the same time. The last type is a hybrid system which means there are multiple sources of electricity.

Solar power system is clean energy and does not contribute to global warming. It is easy to maintain and a well-designed system can last for years which turns to be more cost efficient. A solar power system also helps prolong the life span of roofing structure and provides heat insulation.

Designing the system will depend on the load requirement and type of installation. Philippine Solar Rooftops has professional and well trained solar power system designers that assesses the requirement, review the possible locations and assesses the existing structure where the panels will be located. This will result in the most efficient and optimum design.

The system weighs about 20 kilos per sqm which includes the racking and mounting equipment already.

A solar power system is very easy to maintain. Philippine Solar Rooftops has an Operations and Maintenance team that monitors each system in real time. We check the output of each system and look at all factors affecting production such as temperature, wind, shading, irradiance, etc. Philippine Solar Rooftops also deploys a maintenance crew to each client on a regular basis to physically inspect and conduct test to the entire system. This includes cleaning or washing the actual panels.

The cost is normally based on the size of the system which is on a per kilowatt. Philippine Solar Rooftops offers outright purchase of a system including design, supply and installation, and maintenance of the system.

For outright purchase, the customer immediately reduces its monthly utility bill since there is no recurring cost on the electricity provided by the solar power system. Client will only have to pay for the balance electricity supplied by the local utility company.

Net metering is a procedure that allows customers to get rebates/credits on the excess electricity of the solar power system that is supplied back to the grid of the local utility company. Net metering is part of the Renewable Energy (RE) Act of 2008. All local utility companies are mandated to provide net metering.
